Horticulture Sciences and Practices
During this class, I was able to learn the basics of how plants function, their specific characteristics, and different diseases that could affect their growth. This information continues to be apart of my daily life when taking care of plants, processing flowers, and many other areas.

Floral Design
Since I have a true passion for flowers, this class was on of my favorites to take. Every week, I created a specific design, learned how to critique elements and principles of design, and teach others the design style featured. I was able to learn the proper way to process different types of flowers, correct amount of flower food, and the basic tools and supplies needed in the floral industry.

Issues In Horticulture
As an informative class focused on teaching about the specific issues that affect my desired sector of the Horticulture industry, I was able to spend time researching possible problems for my career in the future. This provided me with valuable knowledge on how to approach growth for my business and situations to address.
HORT 452
Wedding Floral Design
In this class, I was able to strengthen my design techniques on different styles of wedding bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpiece arrangements. I continually learned the different styles of these designs that have evolved over the years. With each design, I learned a new ribbon technique as well, which can be used in my business to this day to provide that extra unique touch to my designs.

Special Event Design and Planning
This class provided me with wonderful knowledge and examples of wedding contracts, timelines, and blueprints drawings of designs. I was able to effectively learn how to plan out each design principle and the elements and principles that would be showcased. As a class, we designed projects for the Stark Galleries at Texas A&M University and the Study Abroad Seminar.

Senior Seminar
This course helped to prepare me for the everyday work of a nine to five job, such as email and eating etiquette, perfecting the necessary documents to apply for a job, and valuable interview skills. I know have the knowledge of how to properly interact through the workplace and what it takes to be a valuable employee to a company.
